THE JOURNEY PART 3 [FINAL PART] :

DOMODEDOVO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, MOSCOW TO SARATOV [MY FINAL DESTINATION]

[TRAIN EXPERIENCE]

*****We got to Domodedovo International Airport, Russia at exactly 13:50,25th September.*****

Aaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwww 😒, my chilling and enjoyment has come to an end [That was what I said when we landed]. The trip [Dubai to Moscow] was very very short [just 4 hours].

Immediately I got down, I contacted a friend’s friend, Prince [who was gonna help me buy my train ticket and also my way outta the airport.* It was my first time and also I didn’t know the language at all*. After he had told me where to meet him, I then proceeded to the security checkpoint. Had to wait for a while because there was a queue and when it finally got to my turn. I headed to the Security Booth, gave my passport to the official, he looked at me, flipped through the pages of my passport and realized I had two Visas [2015 and 2016 Student’s Visas]. He then looked at me once again then made a phone call. Less than 10 seconds, I had a tap from behind, only to turn and see two ‘cool πŸ˜‘' Security Personnels. They escorted me to a seat at the arrival hall.
*AT THIS POINT I WAS SUPER SCARED πŸ˜•πŸ˜“πŸ˜Ÿ*

After a couple of minutes, they brought other people [about 7] to join me. Amongst them was the Ghanaian friend I met at Dubai International Airport [apparently, he looked for me whiles boarding the aeroplane but couldn’t find me so I had to tell him about MY BUSINESS CLASS TICKET GIFT] and also a Ghanaian student in Kazan [She went home to renew her passport]. We got to know each other a Lil bit then they changed the language to Twi [the most widely spoken local language in Ghana] to complain about the delay [For them, it’s wasn't their first time in Russia so they felt the delay wasn’t right and also the lady had to catch a flight to Kazan in a couple of hours]. My Twi isn’t that good so I rarely spoke and also they made me aware that my situation is normal because it’s my first time entering the country.
*I WAS RELIEVED A LITTLE BIT 😌*

We waited for more than an hour without any news or word from the security personnels. Tensions started rising because I’d waited for too long [my friend [Prince] was waiting for me at the entrance] and also the Ghanaian lady’s boarding time [flight to Kazan] was fast approaching. She stood up, went to talk to them explaining her situation then came to her seat. In less than 5 minutes, she was called and that was it. SHE LEFT US 😲!

We waited and waited and waited. I started getting worried cos it was almost 2 hours without a word from the security personnels. Later, one of them pointed at me to come. He then started rattling the Russian, I didn’t understand at all so I called the Ghanaian friend who translated it for me. He[The Security Personnel] asked why I had two Student’s Visas [Explained it to him] then He requested for my previous school’s documents, the telephone number of my university here, the amount of dollars I had, the number of phones or gadgets I had on me, he even went through my phone [went basically everywhere: from Contacts to Text Messages to WhatsApp Messages to Pictures and Videos to even checking my phone’s IMEI number] and lastly he asked who was coming to pick me up and also his contact because it’s my first time. He called him to know where he was actually standing then went to meet him to confirm it.
IT’S FRUSTRATING HUH?????????I KNOW RIGHT

*I couldn’t take pictures here cos I was very 'wild' because of the delay*It has pained me paaaaaa*

After 30mins of meeting Prince, I was called to the Security Booth for my Immigration Card. WHAT A RELIEF!!!  I went for my luggages then headed towards Prince's direction to meet him.  WHAT A JOY!!!!! #EXCITED πŸ˜„

From the Airport to the Train Station was very far [We first took a bus then an underground Metro].
After buying the ticket, Prince sent me to KFC to get some Burgers, Chicken and Fries for my trip to Saratov [16 hours.....eeeeeeiiiiiiii,WHY????😲] . We were in a hurry not to miss my train so in our haste, my luggage tires got spoilt in the process [I WAS NOT BOTHERED AT ALL COS I JUST WANTED TO GET TO SARATOV AS SOON AS POSSIBLE]. He escorted me to my seat/bed then said my Goodbyes to him.

[IF HE HADN’T BEEN WITH ME, I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN LOST OR EVEN BEEN DUPED COS I DIDN’T KNOW ANYWHERE, DIDN’T KNOW THE LANGUAGE AND ALSO DIDN’T KNOW WHERE THE FOREX BUREAUS WERE [MY MONEY WAS IN DOLLARS]]
THANK GOD FOR HIS LIFE AND ALSO MY FRIEND, VICTOR WHO INTRODUCED HIM TO ME #RESPECT #much_love

BED EXPERIENCE
NOTE: *****The beds in the train have been designed in a certain way: The Top beds have no visible climbing ladder, the down beds are just [can’t describe it LOL] then the Side Beds [on the right hand side of the train] are turned into two seats and a table so when it’s time to sleep, the person who occupies there, fixes it to a bed*****
So when I entered the train and got to my seat/bed earlier on, Prince demonstrated how to climb my bed [TOP BED]. Whiles teaching me, I stopped and told him not to worry[I'd not slept on a TOP BED before so I wasn't gonna try it]. When he left,I decided to seat at the side of the Train [There were 2 seats and a table. My plan was to sleep there. Put my head on the table and sleep…. Didn’t know it can be turned into a bed].

Minutes later a beautiful young lady came to sit in front of me 😊😊. After everyone had finally boarded,we set off.

I made a few calls [Prince got me a new sim card], listened to some music, ate, spoke to the people around [One understood English so she was my translator].
When it was time to sleep the lady prompted me that she wanted to sleep but I didn’t understand. Apparently, she was the occupant of that compartment [the two seats and the table] and she actually wanted to turn it into a bed. #was_SURPRISED

So I stood up and started thinking [PLAN B ] of how I was gonna climb my bed. I raised my leg very high but couldn’t . [I nearly fell on my back] I REALLY SUFFERED cos I raised my leg so high. She saw how I was suffering then came to my aid. She showed me an easier way to climb it: Put your right leg on the METAL PAD attached to the Down Bed then you push yourself up #EASY #strategic_climbing . THAT WAS ALL OOOOOOOO AND I SUFFERED LIKE THAT. THE THING IS, I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THE METAL PAD WHEN I TRIED CLIMBING INITIALLY……..HMMMMMMMMM

After climbing ,surprisingly I slept with ease and even enjoyed it. Opened my eyes hours later to see people going up and down[They were Preparing to alight]. So whiles everyone had gotten dressed up and some were even having breakfast [HOT TEA], I was still in bed [I’d woken up long time but DESCENDING WAS A PROBLEM BECAUSE THE METAL PAD WAS VERY LOW…OH, HMMMMMMMMM]. I gathered some vim and jumped. *IT WAS CRAZY*
Got prepared [Washed my face, brushed my hair etc.] to meet my friend, Victor.

We arrived at Saratov [My Final Destination] couple of minutes after 08:00,26th September.
