THE HUSTLE IS REAL FINAL PART :

CHURCH EXPERIENCE

Back home, I was a loyal and devoted member of LIGHTHOUSE CHAPEL INTERNATIONAL [L.C.I.],a church founded in 1988 by Our Father, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills and headquartered in Accra [The Qodesh], Ghana. It is one of the leading charismatic churches in Ghana, and has branches in Africa, Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, Australia, the Middle East and the Americas.

I attend the Trade Fair Branch and I was in the Choir [Royal Grapes Choir]. It is a VIBRANT and FUN church mehn. I always get crazy when I’m in bed reminiscing some of the memories:
Our Choir[Royal Grapes Choir] Ministration.
Danita dancing her heart out during Praises.
Bro Jake giving a ‘SHOUT’ of Praise and some jargons like ‘Onani33 [meaning You see]’ or ‘Tiiimli [meaning reiterate it again]’.
Rev. preaching with all his heart.
Shepherds’ Meeting after church and peeps running away or giving excuses.
Rita and her every Sunday 'ritual' of taking pictures.
Everyday Alnight Prayers.
Scripture Memorization.
Bernice and her strategy of making us buying preaching messages.

MY CHURCH, L.C.I.[Trade Fair Branch]
Before coming here, one of the researches I did was to find out whether Lighthouse Chapel International was in Russia or not. There was none according to my search on Google. So coming here, I had one church in mind; to attend the International Church where virtually all the Africans and International Students fellowship. I’ve seen lots of pics and stuff about them so I knew where I was gonna fellowship and what to expect. Big Ups to THE MEDIA TEAM for the picture and video uploads.

Upon getting here, I changed my mind and decided to go to church with Victor and Lwipa. They attend a BAPTIST Church in the next city, Engels. So my first Sunday in Russia, they came to pick me and off we went [It started at 10am].

THE BAPTIST CHURCH
Immediately we entered, I was like ‘EI, ALL WHITES?????’ You know that feeling right???????Hahahahaha
During the service, I never understood even A WORD. It was all in Russian and here I was, I didn’t know Russian at all. I was just sitting there listening as if I understood BUT nothing. It was soooooooo boring for me cos I’d never experienced such a Service before.
BUT NOW???????? I’M USED TO IT

MY OBSERVATIONS SO FAR

In the Baptist Church, we are only 4 Blacks [Victor, Lwipa, Martha and myself].

In the Baptist Church, I’ve never heard anyone speaking in tongues or Praises. All we do is sing with the Guitar and Keyboard [It’s sooooooooooo beautiful especially when we are singing my favorite Russian song.]

In the Baptist Church, almost everyone will WELCOME YOU Before, During or After Service. I MEAN ALMOST EVERYONE. The LOVE and CARE is soooooooo MASSIVE.

In the Baptist Church, after the main service we go for Children’s Service and there, I have fun to the fullest. It's interactive and the kids are soooooooo fun to be with.

In the Baptist Church, when they talk about food; It's always tea with cookies, cake or bread. I'm not used to these kinda stuff at all [I want something heavy] so I'm always like 'NOT AGAIN'.

In the Baptist Church, there’s no pressure on me when it comes to what to wear cos everyone wears any attire at all [be it mufti, cardigan, suit etc.]. I wear anything decent and cool mehn.

THE INTERNATIONAL CHURCH

I decided to have a feel of the International Church cos that’s where basically all the Africans worship and coincidentally, they start service at 15:00. So one Sunday, I went to pay them a visit. When I entered, I was warmly Welcomed and ushered to my seat. The feeling was sooooooooo NICE.

During worship, I heard someone [Mary] speaking in tongues. Immediately I heard her, I was like ‘YEAH, THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT’ [Cos since I came, I’d never heard anyone speaking in tongues apart from myself during my Quiet Time]. Praises was FUN and also Pastor Todd preached a POWERFUL WORD [Reviving Worship]. I really enjoyed every bit of the service.

IT WAS FUN AND EXCITING THROUGHOUT.

MY OBSERVATIONS SO FAR

In the International Church, there are lots and lots of Africans.

In the International Church, Praises and Worship is LIT mehn. It’s energetic and FUN.

In the International Church, the dressing is always giving me Pressure. I’m always on alert to clean or wipe my face every few minutes to get rid of sweat. I see peeps dressing and I’m like EI [very beautiful, fashionable etc.]. Back home, I was in the Choir and we are always in our uniforms [either White, Blue, Red or Black long sleeves; any color of tie at all; Black Trousers; or African Wear].

In the International Church, Pastor Todd’s preaching is always down to earth and fun.

In the International Church, when they talk about food; It's always Jollof or Yellow with salad and Chicken. That's what I'm talking about mehn #yummy

In the International Church, all the girls are very beautiful. I MEAN VERY VERY BEAUTIFUL. NOTE: 'Please, don't think far'
The International Church

So I’ve been attending two Churches EVERY SUNDAY; THE BAPTIST CHURCH @ 10am then THE INTERNATIONAL CHURCH @ 15:00 then get home at either 17:30 or 18:00. Back home, when we go to church in the morning,we return in the evening [THAT'S WHAT I'M USED TO] due to the number of things we do : Rehearsal, Shepherds' Class, Visitation of Souls who were not in church, Shepherds' Meeting etc.

QUESTION: Why haven’t you stopped attending the Baptist Church since you not used to a service like that?

MY ANSWER: I feel more LOVED in the Baptist Church than in the International Church. That’s not to say, The International Church hasn’t shown or don’t show me love,NOT AT ALL. King Sowah, Gabriel, peeps from Ghana and my Nigerian Hostel mates have always been showing me love and care.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, Matthew.
